Reverend Father Roman Planchak

Fr. Roman Planchak was born in Bosnia– Herzegovina and immigrated to Canada with his family in the early 1990’s. After beginning a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Alberta, he entered Holy Spirit Seminary in Ottawa, where he completed a Bachelor of Eastern Christian Theology program followed by a Masters in Pastoral Theology.  Fr. Roman was ordained priest by Bishop David Motiuk on May 1, 2010, in Edmonton. After ordination he was assigned to Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God Parish and Grande Prairie District, where he served for eight years. His first Sunday Divine Liturgy at Assumption parish was on August 5, 2018.
